How Can I Improve My Sleep Despite Fibromyalgia

There is nothing as refreshing and energizing as having a good night’s sleep. Sadly, many people struggle to sleep.

If you have fibromyalgia, you probably experience fatigue, extreme joint pain, and sleep deprivation. In many cases, the inability to sleep exacerbates the pain.

If you have fibromyalgia, the following measures can improve the quality of their sleep.

Exercise. Many studies suggest that exercise reduces stress levels. Sufferers of fibromyalgia sleep better when they exercise.

Limit exposure to artificial lights. Many studies show that artificial light disrupts the body’s circadian rhythm. Avoiding artificial light promotes the production of melatonin (sleep hormone).

Practice good sleep habits. When you adopt good sleeping habits, your body will get accustomed to going to sleep at a particular time of the day or night.

Meditate. A growing body of research has shown that meditation can reduce pain and help improve the quality of sleep. Meditation helps you find inner peace by taking your mind off the pain.

Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care

Many studies suggest that there’s a link between upper cervical health and sleep quality.

Upper cervical misalignments can cause pain, inflammation, and nervous system disorders. All of these can reduce your sleep quality.

Chiropractic adjustments and other kinds of care can correct the upper cervical problems and restore the nervous system function. This promotes the release of sleep hormones.
